Sulu Garden in Miag-ao was actually out of our original itinerary, we just opted to drop by to eat lunch and we ended up with not just having full stomach but as well as satisfied eyes. It was a relaxing stopover in this Japanese inspired restaurant.
Sulu Garden is strategically situated a few meters away from UP Visayas Miag-ao Campus. If your coming from Iloilo City, it is on the left side of the road, just before the bridge few meters away from the main entrance of UP Visayas. It does not have any welcome sign but you'll still probably recognize it because it has a Japanese arc right on its entrance.

The landscape is actually impressive. The atmosphere is really relaxing, sitting under the shade of trees, hearing the rushing flow of water and seeing butterflies checking out some flowers. It was actually a good place to talk with your friends and just have a good time.

Since we came here to eat, we headed to their bar and ask assistance from their crew. Their staffs were actually quite friendly and accommodating. Their are a lot of food to choose from. They have the common Filipino dishes and also Japanese dishes like sushi. They have different dining areas, the barkada type where you gotta sit in cross-siting position, the family area in which the set up is the common set up we all have in our homes, they also have tables outside if you feel like eating under the tree and lastly, they have private rooms if you obviously want privacy.

While waiting for our food to be served, the owner himself informed us that we could actually walk around and check out the sights in the area. They have this mini fish spa where you could actually enjoy putting your hands in the water and let the fishes do their thing.

Aside from the mini fish spa, they also have an exhibit area just behind the famous red door. There are still on going renovations and constructions during the time that we visited there, so most definitely you'll be expecting a lot of improvement if you decide to check this place. Check out the artwork and the machinery below.

I just honestly want to say that my friends and I are quite disappointed with the serving time. They are definitely not ready to accommodate large number of visitors during that time. The place was actually jammed pack and the food takes so looooooooooong like forever to be served. Thumbs down on that one. But regardless, need to feed our hungry stomach, right?

Sulu Garden is an interesting place to visit. All you need to do is order food and enjoy everything. Yes, there are things that needs to improved but I guess, they're also taking down notes on that one. I am looking forward to visiting again and get to see the improvements they've made for the past months.
