The last time I went to Garin Farm was way back in 2009 when I was still in high school and the area is still in Guimbal. So I was quite excited to explore this newly-improved version of Garin Farm Pilgrimage Resort in San Joaquin. I'm holding unto my expectations! Yaay!
So, basically from Iloilo City, it would take around maximum of 2 hrs to reach the resort. Their are San Joaquin jeepneys in the Super area as well as in Mohon Terminal. I think the fare is between P40-P60, I'm not quite sure since we went there via private vehicle but most definitely, you won't find any trouble in commuting considering that the resort is quite known in the area. In my observation, the resort is actually ready to cater large scale of visitors considering that they have allotted parking areas and has staffs to assist you right from the entrance.

The entrance is truly a sight and the smell... well, it's a farm, right?. (LOL!) The entrance is truly captivating, like you really need to have your picture taken on this area. I love the vines with white flowers on it. So nice!

Urban Farming is one of the spots you can see while walking down this vine-aisle. According to my research, Urban Farming or Urban agriculture can be defined shortly as the growing of plants and the raising of animals within and around cities. So basically, what you can see inside this area are the vegetables and animals that can be raised even if you are situated in urban areas or cities. You might want to check this out.

I believe this is one of the cultured plants in the resort. Although I've seen this before somewhere else, I know that Garin Farm actually experimented on this one.
Well, I've seen different kinds of vegetables around the resort but I can't name some of them considering I'm only familiar with their appearances and not with their
names. (Peace!) But you know what? You guys could actually help me on that one. Visit Garin Farm and comment the veggies you've seen around the resort.

They also have cafeteria inside the resort. So just in case you got hungry, you could definitely check it out. And well, personally, I actually did
look forward to eating the ever famous Garin Farm Ice Cream fresh from cows' milk but unfortunately, it's are not available during the time that we visited
there, so it's like, better luck next time!

Well, we won't miss the highlight of the resort, the journey to heaven. Walking up to the last step is so challenging so I really suggest you wear comfortable shoes and bring your bottle of water. It was totally worth it. So right after you're done with the stairs, they have this dark tunnel, you gotta past through all that, but don't worry there are small lights to guide you along the away. You will also pass through the image of Jesus and afterwhich, welcome to heaven!

Garin Farm has also other amenities and activities for adventure-seekers. As you can see below, they have a pool area, a lagoon for boating and a zip line. I don't have the rates per activities but as far as I can remember it's all budget friendly. Unfortunately, I was not able to try any of it due to time constraints. But you, you better try all of it and tell me what it feels like :*

It was a fulfilling adventure especially when you have your friends with you. You have someone to share with the excitement and all the smiles while exploring the resort. So all in all, the resort is really good for relaxation especially on Holy week. One thing that I miss compared to the Guimbal-version before are the variety of animal species. I miss the zoo. On a positive note, I like the activities that we could actually do inside the resort and all the sight-seeing activities. Visit Garin Farm in San Joaquin, Iloilo.
